Planning & Forecasting
at a logistics provider
A logistics provider uses Microsoft Dynamics and Excel to plan daily routes and shipments. The process works, but it takes valuable time away from planners who would rather manage the operation than wrestle with spreadsheets.
Explore
We map the planning process: where does each piece of data come from, where does it go wrong, and where does the process depend on individual planners? We propose automation that processes route data daily and lets planners step in only where human judgement adds real value.
Prototype
We build a mock-up with automatically imported shipments, route suggestions based on historical data and a clear set of actions for the planner. This makes the concept tangible before any commitment.
Launch
The Dynamics connection goes live alongside the existing process. Planners provide feedback while we continue refining the solution. The result is less manual work and less dependence on whoever happens to be available that day.
Scale
With the time freed up, we move to the next opportunity, such as predictive capacity management or automated customer communication when delays occur.
